Interview with Film Riot! EXCLUSIVE! (Unfinished)

Film Riot is a how-to trip through filmmaking from the hyper-active mind of Ryan Connolly. From how to make great effects to following Triune Films through production, Film Riot explores the art of filmmaking in a way you’ve never seen before.

I decided to interview FilmRiot through YouTube's messaging system, I thought they would be a great channel to interview because they are vastly growing in fame, and create amazing videos. So here's the interview:

SONICBALLER: Hi, I'm Ben from Sonicballer Productions and I am a fan of your videos. They're great.

Would you mind if I asked you a few questions for an interview on my blog?

FILM RIOT: Shoot.

SONICBALLER: Ok thanks.
So how long has Film Riot been out, and how did you come up with the idea for it?

FILM RIOT:
Film Riot has been online for four months now. I came up with the idea after a friend was discouraged about not having the money for film school, which got me thinking to when I was young and would have killed for a show like this.

SONICBALLER: Nice, I can tell that your guys have grown alot[in fame] since then. You guys have over 4,000 subscribers already! What do you think is the reason behind this quickly growing success that you have?

FILM RIOT: Word of mouth, and from the promotions we do from Film Riot, which has it's main home on Revision3.com, and [that] is where we get most of our views. Also out [of] promotion from Triune Films' youtube page (which produces Film Riot).

SONICBALLER: Oh okay, makes sense. Word of mouth can go a long way eh?
When I first started watching Film Riot, I could tell that you guys already had plenty of film-making experience. So, when did you start getting serious about film-making?

FILM RIOT: I've been very serious about film-making since I was about 15 or so. I've done it non-stop pretty much my whole life though. Professionally I've only been doing it for about 7 years though.

SONICBALLER: Wow, 15? Same as me! You must've had a lot of good ideas for your movies. How did you come up with your ideas for different movies?

*Film Riot stopped replying oddly*
And that's it folks! That's all of the interview SO FAR, because Film Riot hasn't replied to the last message, so I guess we can only wait till we do!

Equipment Needed

For my future movies to go down as planned, especially DBZ Live 3, I'm going to need these things:

1. Adobe Master Collection or Production Premium CS3 or CS4

2. Canon HV30 or HV40 HDV Camcorder

3. Shotgun Microphone, preferably the the RODE VideoMic.

4. A Home-built Camera dolly, which creates perfectly smooth camera movements.

5. A Steadicam-style camera stabilizer, for handheld shots that need more freedom than a dolly. (GOT IT!)

7. Pro Video lighting

8. 3ds Max - 3d animation software.

9. Props: blood, swords, guns, costumes, (maybe smoke machines?), and other stuff.

That's about $1K to $2K worth of stuff here! I'm going to be spending all that money for movies that you guys get so see FOR FREE.

So it would help alot if you guys would DONATE, to us or buy stuff from the SONICBALLER STORE!

DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS BLOG! I DONT HAVE ANY SUBSCRIBERS YET!

First Day of School...

Yep, today was my first day of school. I am a sophomore in high school now. I didn't get any homework, but I will later. Don't worry, I'll still be able to make more movies. The closest movie coming up is called "I Lost My Penny!" You can find out what it is about in some of my earlier posts.

I also thought of an idea to make Dragonball Z Live 2: Revenge - REMASTERED!

I'll completely redo the editing and effects to make a more awesome version of DBZ Live 2. But I don't know when though. Probably sometime near the end of the year.
